My day at Bahrain mall - Geant

20.08.2011
Today am sitting n geant branch of nonoo exchange and my window is facing towards the mall. An excellent view of vegetables, promotion items and milk products, where people are shopping and some are serving. A understanding of human bond was getting created when one serves and other receives the service. I was pleased to see the way the people become happy and also the way they smiled. Observing them from my window was a really tough thing, because some stare at me as if I was looking at them indecent intentions.

The man with lot of tensions with a slip in his hand and am sure it was from his wife and was trying to collect the items as quick as possible. An Indian lady with a big trolley and her kid inside the trolley, I felt the trolley was not for vegetables but for kid. Arab family was the most interesting, wearing sunshades inside the mall as if there is sun and can’t see.
An English lady with her baby and Filipino maid was really strange. Baby was with lot of smiles looking at my face he started giving sharp looks, I was stunned. Later the maid was her trolley pusher and the English lady the mother care. Bengali handlers or we call them as “Helper or to help you” are the interesting part, they are least bothered about this world, clean the same place ten times to see a beautiful girl or to admire a beauty. With lot of love, affection and with eyelids in air (I felt this guy almost ate that girl).

Observing people smile and some with anger, some with confusion is great experience but watching someone observing the same way you do is a matter of confusion for me. He looks like a north - East Indian but he is a Filipino with a green t-shirt reading all the labels in Spices, Dry Fruits and Pulses and keeps staring at those sesame seeds as if they are going to be in his tummy soon, looks like he is too hungry and has been asking the Indian server the price of each item, who looks irritated. I am sure the Indian server is trying his level best to be the best but its written on his face today he will be the angry young man of the mall.

When Richard joined me and gave me information about the different kind of people who visit this place, I was impressed and to see the number of families visiting the mall which created some cute and gentle moment which touched my heart. A Filipino mother hugging and kissing the baby and the way she was playing with her brought to mind Irene – the princess and recently got a picture of a baby (cutie pie. It’s nice to relax in this way and be in different world where culture and caste come together.
